SAIAT delivers classroom based training onsite at our premises or in-house depending on our valued clients’ needs. Classroom based learning is the most used and traditional method for training where training is delivered on a face-to-face basis. The instructor engages with the learners in real time. It is a highly effective learning method that encourages participation of the learners during training.

Our qualified and experienced subject matter experts are deployed to conduct the training and help the learners reach their full potential.

Techniques include among others:

  • Brainstorming
  • Case studies
  • Visual Aids
  • Group discussion
  • Learner Presentation
  • Role plays
  • Tutorials
  • Lectures

Our blended learning method is designed to take full advantage of technological evolutions in training through the use of E-learning but at the same time not depriving some learners of the benefits of instructor led training approach.

We take cognizance of the fact that geographical challenges may potentially be a hindrance to some learners therefore we decided to introduce a blended learning approach to cater for all learners regardless of geographical location. SAIAT usually used this method for full qualifications to overcome logistical problems over a longer period of time.

SAIAT has embraced E-Learning to enable online training methods that are suitable and convenient in this digital age. Electronic learning, or e-learning, can be as effective as or even more effective than live instruction. It can also be more efficient if effective techniques are used, especially for the
development of knowledge and critical thinking and decision-making skills. SAIAT have moved swiftly to implement an effective e-learning system and we are confident that it will go
a long way in achieving the skills development goals without compromising the quality of output.

By implementing E-Learning, we seek to achieve the following:

  • A more effective and convenient way of learning that is not hindered by geographical challenges. Information can be accessed by a click of the button.
  • A more interactive way of learning that allows learners to engage with their instructors through video conferencing and other platforms.
  • Easy access of information and learning material anywhere at any time.

SAIAT uses the following online delivery methods:

Virtual classroom/Synchronous learning

Synchronous learning is the instructional method most similar to traditional classroom training, as it is led completely by an instructor. A virtual classroom is an e-learning event where an instructor teaches remotely and in real time to a group of learners using a combination of materials (e.g. PowerPoint slides, audio or video materials). It is also called synchronous learning. This method requires the least amount of effort to convert materials (but instructors still have to prepare them). Appropriate technology must be in place for both the learners and providers (e.g. software for the virtual classroom and good connectivity).

Asynchronous Learning

Asynchronous events are time-independent. A self-paced course is an example of asynchronous e-learning because online learning takes place at any time. E-mail or discussion forums are examples of asynchronous communication tools. Learners are offered e-learning course material, which can be complemented by supplemental resources and assessments. Learners can access learning material from an online learning platform. Learners are free to learn at their own pace and to define personal learning paths based on their individual needs and interests. E-learning providers do not have to schedule, manage or track learners through a process.
